  • There has been a lot of talk about gaming Android devices lately, with people whispering about one Android console or two. We’ve also seen handsets such as the Galaxy S III easy handling gaming on a HDTV, complete with joystick connection and HD graphics. Now ZTE wants to get in the game.

Apparently, the Chinese giant has a gaming smartphone or even smartphones ready to unveil next week and they might even launch them then. And it’s not some leak saying that, but rather ZTE itself on their very own Twitter account. Should we expect an Xperia Play form factor? Or just the usual full touch experience? Is the quad core CPU a requirement by now? We’ll see in about 5-6 days and it’s nice to see that someone actually cares about mobile gamers more than the average phone maker.

I would be nice if the gaming phones were also bundled with some titles. I’m curious what Sony will say about this and if they’ll let ZTE access they PlayStation services, that they promised to offer all Android phone makers…
