Zappar Android App Turns Your Face Into a Growling Avatar (Video)

  • If you want to apply a mask on your face and don’t like to wait til Halloween, there’s an app for that. It’s called Zappar and it’s available in Google Play Store. You can create a virtual 3D mask and wear it… virtually of course. Zappar is an augmented reality expert and now they’re offering a special hat called Zaphat. When you wear the hat and you are looked at using the Zappar app you turn into a strange character.

    Cartoons, monsters, medieval knights and more are available through this application. What’s cool is that the masks move with the hat, so you’ll be dancing around with your 3D avatar applied. The Zappar app also allows you to snap a picture of make a movie of the experience of wearing the 3D hat in digital version too. Zaphats are debuting this week during the premiere fashion and apparel event MAGIC Marketplace in Las Vegas. They will go on sale during the Christmas time and this initiative sounds truly great.

    The current hats include Harry Potter, Cosmopolitan, Billabong, Green Lantern, Zapparel and more. The app is free, takes up 3 MB and requires Android 2.1. So, are you ready for the next step in fashion? Download the app from here.
