  • Google is working at a fast pace to improve the apps and services they provide, be it on the mobile platform or the web. One very good example is GMail for Android, updated to version 2.0 to include lots of highly requested features.

Moving forward and in anticipation of CES, Google will include a highly anticipated feature in YouTube. With Android 4.2 one new feature allows easy sharing of any content on the device’s screen to compatible TV’s. Now Google has announced a new feature that allows sharing videos to any smart TV from a variety of manufacturers.

Announced on their official blog page, the remote control feature allows to access any TV function from the Android device. Upcoming products from manufacturers like Samsung or LG are also expected to include this feature. Other manufacturers that will implement this new function are: Bang & Olufsen, Panasonic and Sony. The feature will be available during CES next week. There  will also be available TV accessories from manufacturers like Western Digital to support the remote control function.
