  • It would seem Yahoo is ready to offer some beneficial updates for its mobile apps on both the Android and iOS platforms. Only last week we informed you about the Mail app offering a new tablet layout and lots of improvements, including in terms of speed and reliability.

After releasing it for iOS, Yahoo is now ready to make its latest release available for the Android platform. Profiting from the fact that Google is no longer offering its RSS service Yahoo is willing to provide its own and advertises it as highly functional and very good looking. And for the better part it seems it’s right there with the best.

Yahoo for Android brings “the best of the web in a virtually endless stream of personalized stories.” You have the ability to personalize your stream by select topics you want more stories about and a optimised web search experience including images and video. On top of that there is the new Summaries feature to make finding the important news a lot faster. The app is provided for free on the Store.
