  • Since I got the chance to play with an Xperia Z2 these days, I also checked out the game Wind Up Knight 2, an excellent platformer with a pretty high level of difficulty. The title is made by Robot Invader and the first 6-8 levels should be free. After that you pay about 5 dollars to unlock the full game.

You will control an automaton, a little knight with a rotating wind up key and you will use 4 controls to get around: shield, jump, roll and sword hit. Each of those actions has an associated virtual button, so you have to multitask and also you need a great set of reflexes. There are 3 objectives extra per mission once you complete one and you’ll have to face about 40+ missions. The extra objectives allow you to unlock new levels as you progress and the tasks include getting diamonds, catching fairies and ducking red coins.

The graphics are beautiful and there’s also a sort of online game mode, where you have to do an endless level of sorts and you have to buy a ticket for that. Once you end the level you get a leaderboard place and some prizes at the end of the day. You can also upgrade your knight with armors, shields and stuff like that. The setting of the game is medieval, with knights, griphons, swords, castles and dungeons.

The graphics are also good looking and the mechanics involve getting a small wind up key to keep the knight going, so there’s sort of a time limit on your actions. Overall this is a great game and we give it a solid 9.4 out of 10. You can download it here.
