  • The official Android app for the Wimbledon tennis tournament has just launched on the Google Play Store and if you want to be up to speed with the famous sports competition I recommend you install it. This is a free application, that takes up merely 1.4MB and it’s offered by Wimbledon itself.

The championship runs from June 25th to July 8th 2012 and you can follow all of the action at the tournament live by using the app. The software includes live scores, results, a schedule of all matches, the draws and news about players and the competition. You also get a special profile for each player and you’ll also find in the Wimbledon app on demand video previews, highlights, features, interviews and golden moments pictures. Daily coverage of the Championships is provided by two channels for Centre Court and No 1. Court.

There’s also a map feature, allowing users to find facilities in the Wimbledon area. So, if you want to know what Nadal and Federer are up to over the following weeks, download the app from here and learn all about it.
