  • Wandou Labs’ application SnapPea is an interesting piece of software, a free one, that allows you to manage Android from your Windows desktop. The current version is 3.2.1 and it was last updated on September 20th. The app requires Android 2.0 and up and it takes up just 2.8 MB of space.

Using this software you can organize contacts, music and pics, all of that from your desktop. Any file can be transferred very fast and SnapPea is also able to auto connect, so there is no need to input your password each time. Thousands of apps for Android can be downloaded free of charge and apps can download to your desktop, so you don’t need to worry about the data plan.

You can even send text messages from a full size QWERTY keyboard without having to resort to touching the device. There are many apps out there that support features like these, but this one is very intuitive, especially when it comes to dragging and dropping Android apps from your desktop to the PC. The interface is very clean and intuitive, reminding me of an App Store or sorts. The app is available here.
