  • If you’ve seen the latest Ice Age movie in theaters and want to control your favorite characters in this fantastic world then the official game of the movie is for you. Even if you’re not a fan of the series, Gameloft titles are always enjoyable thanks to the superb graphics and gameplay.

The goal in Ice Age Village is to help Sid, Manny, Diego, Ellie, and a bunch of other franchise favourites construct a suitable abode for a gang of refugee animals, who’ve been left homeless following an unexpected cataclysmic rift. You will have to expand your village and make an animal metropolis, level-up a bunch to unlock new buildings, and finally, get tons of money from animals paying taxes to get money for buildings. By completing certain goals, you earn coins, acorns and level up. You can trade in these coins and acorns for more land to accommodate your growing village, fill up your nursery with eggs, find animal companions, decorate the place and play fun mini-games. To give a little perspective, the rhino costs 50 acorns each. To complete the rhino family you need 4 rhinos, so 200 acorns.

The graphics are cute and for the most part nicely done. You will encounter all the elements found in the Ice Age movie franchise. You can sign on to facebook or Gameloft to find friends. One of the quests given to you is to raise your reputation, which is to add friends. Overall you will find this title fun and kind of addicting.
