We Recommend: Get the Jelly Bean Status Bar on Your Non-Rooted Device
While waiting for the newest version of Android to hit your device through an update you might want to have some of the features of the OS without having to install a custom ROM or mod. We’ve covered articles about installing Google Now, Google Sond Search or even the Android 4.1 keyboard on your non-Jelly Bean device. It’t time for the ultimate touch.
Jelly Bean StatusBar ads the new OS flavor to your pre-Android 4.1 ROM. Without having to wait for an official update you can get the feel of the new Android OS on your non-rooted device. The app also enables some very useful options you would not find in the stock Jelly Bean build. You can enable battery percentage or have a notification counter among others, without having to install a separate app.
The Jelly Bean StatusBar can handle all third party app notifications. To enable this function you need to enable the Accessibility Service for the app to ON by going to Settings > Accessibility >JellyBean StatusBar. There is also a a built in ignore list so you can exclude any application’s notifications from occurring. Here are some of the features of the app:
- Clones the official status bar from Android 4.1
- Allows support for third party notifications
- Auto-detection for hidden status bar or screen orientation
- Task killer safe! Will auto-reboot when killed
- Smooth gestures for default pull down
- Settings to choose what content you want to display
