  • There aren’t that many complex apps for creating customized shortcuts on your Android phone home screen. At least not as complex as the one I’m about to write about. If you want to create great looking home screens then this is the app for you.

Using Desktop VisualizeR you can create shortcuts or widgets for your home screen and customize just about every aspect concerning their look and feel. Through the app interface yo first choose an icon for your widget/shortcut. The icon can be either the usual app icon or an icon from another app, an icon pack icon or image file. Through the existing add-ons that you can download or purchase you can further customize the look of the item to be placed on your home screen. The next step is to assign an action for the created widget. You can choose to either launch an app or assign a shortcut for an action regarding an app. Further customization options include changing the label colour, touch effect and enable vibration feedback.

Desktop VisualizeR offers downloadable icon packs, add-ons and tools. Some are offered for free as others can be purchased. you can, for example, download an add-on that will enable direct phone calls straight from the created widgets. You can also purchase the removal of the adds. The app UI is very clean and easy to understand. All you have to do is let your imagination run wild and create beautiful widget designs.
