  • We all want to have all our contacts in one place. It does not matter if we are talking about people we know in our everyday life or those we met on a social network. More so, having the ability to ID unknown calls & texts, just enhances the experience.

    Current_Caller_ID

Current Caller ID by WhitePages utilizes the company’s extensive directory of phone numbers – over 300 million currently to identify unknown calls and SMS. The app also pulls data from your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts to provide even more information about the people trying to contact you. Current Caller ID displays Facebook and Twitter status updates, the weather at the caller’s location and local news.

The app does not replace the stock dialer but rather provides contact info through it’s own interface. Swiping through the different tabs is a joy and the status display shows accurate info about the number of calls and texts sent and received. The search function allows you to look for people and businesses but requires you install an additional app.  It also creates notifications for missed and identified calls. The recent update brought lots of improvements. Some of them are:

    • A whole new look and tons of new features
    • 300 million phone numbers for free
    • Text ID
    • Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter integration
    • Infographics based on real usage
    • Automatic Frequent and Recent caller lists, plus widget for easy use
