  • At times I found myself in need of a tool to show the current RAM usage and CPU info. Though there are many options available on the Play Store, for me a simple solution would do. I find complex apps not always a useful options and prefer to keep things simple.

Anfo widget is used to display useful system information through the app interface or widgets. There are 4 widgets that display info about your cpu, RAM and battery. Additionally there is also the option to add a toggles widget. The app works with both single core and multi-core  CPU’s and it has been tested on the latest platforms, such as on the HTC One X. The widget refresh rate is very good and you can get accurate system info readings.

You can use Anfo for simple info uses or for app development, to see if an app takes more background resources then it should. The widgets are of multiple sizes, including a full screen 4×4 widget with system info, battery and toggles. There are 5 toggles available, for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, data, GPS and brightness. The CPU info tool  can be very useful to display:

    • Global Frequency and frequency by core
    • Percentage of overall use and use of core
    • Maximum and minimum frequency
    • Temperature (if compatible)
    • Number of core enabled

Anfo widget : hardware info can be downloaded for free from the Play Store.
