  • Vizio’s Co-Star streaming device just got support for Google Play Store, meaning that its users will now be able to download content and applications from Google’s store. They will use their downloaded apps on their HDTVs and they’ll be able to sync stuff from other devices to the streaming unit.

This makes purchases easier to manage and the update came just today, being pushed automatically over the following days. The software update also includes enhanced HDMI and audio stability, improved Netflix performance and faster menus and navigation. Co-Star is a streaming device, that allows its users to combine live TV broadcasting with media streaming, making a smart TV out of your regular TV, if you want. This gives the TV a web browser, media streaming device, support for Netflix, Play Store, YouTube, Amazon Instant Vide and more.

You can even hook the device up to a cable or satellite box, meaning you can watch TV shows easily, while surfing the web as well. Chrome is used for browsing on the machine and Flash Player is supported. The remote of the device features a full QWERTY keyboard at the back. For those of you wondering, the device costs $99.99.
