  • Twitter is getting more and more complex, aiming at becoming a nifty Instagram and Facebook alternative. Today it has an added Instagram-style collection of filters, giving you the option to edit pics taken with your phone and tablet and post them with filters applied straight to Twitter.

8 filters are available in the new app and more will come. Right now we can apply a warm, cool, vintage, cinematic, vignette, black and white, happy and gritty filter, plus do some cropping. You’ve probably heard that Instagram links are no longer working on Twitter, something that can be interpreted as a statement of war from Instagram. That’s why Twitter brought its own features in teh mix, with effects, filters and cropping tools inside the app.

It’s as easy as taking a picture and then using their nice filter system to make it look nicer. You can get the latest Twitter update (version 3.6.0) from the Google Play Store and it’s worth mentioning that autocorrection of pics works surprisingly well. The cropping is done via pinch to zoom and the filters are decent.
