  • Famous blogging service Tumblr just updated its Android application with support for Android tablets, plus a blown up user interface. That UI allows it to better take advantage of the extra screen estate. New layout elements are present, including a mosaic-like page for tagging.

You also get an alphabetically arranged following list, that shows users a list of the people they’re following at a certain time. This is not a total and big update, but just a slight revamp for tablet users. You need Android 2.2 and higher to play with this app and it’s good to know for once that Tumblr has no native iPad app, so Android tablet users are privilege this time.

Tumblr is a very popular service, getting past the 150 million visitors per month mark a while ago. The app is available for free, takes up less than 4 MB and allows you to post anything, from photos to videos, quotes, links and text. There’s also the ability to integrate a “create a post” widget on your home screen. You can get the app from here and test it on your beloved tablet, in the Tumblr 3.2.0 version.
