  • There are all kind of console emulators available for Android. It is the platform of choice if you want to give the games you enjoyed a few years back a go on your touchscreen device. More so, if you think about adding a bluetooth controler and connecting the device to a flat HDTV, there is nothing to stop you from enjoying a complete experience.

PPSSPP is among the first (if not the first) PSP (Sony PlayStation Portable) emulator available for Android. The app is far from providing access to all your PSP collection. It’s still in it’s early stages of development and there is a lot of work to be done until a final release can be downloaded. At the moment, version 0.2 is available and has been posted by the developer for everyone to give it a go. There are also versions in the same stage of development for other platforms, such as Windows and BlackBerry.

The developers behind this project state that the number of working PSP games is still very limited. They are working on releasing improved versions along the way to increase compatibility. You can follow them on Twitter if you are interested in getting the latest news about the project. Meanwhile, you can download the latest test build from their official page.
