  • With Android few of us are those who rely on the official apps for our social needs. With so many alternatives available on the Store, some even outstanding, it’s hard to limit ourselves to the one offered by Twitter. Let’s see what are the best alternatives available on the Play Store.

    Tweetcaster

TweetCaster. This is one very popular Twitter client. It offers a great deal of options and receives regular updates and new features. It works and feels great. No matter the environment, professional or personal purposes only TweetCaster is a leading solution. It’s offered in both Free and Pro versions.

    Plume for Twitter

Plume for Twitter. Another very good solution that also looks great. Provides almost the same options as the top alternative and it functions very well. It’s updated at a moderate pace but besides the usual bug fixes more features are introduced. The application was recently updated to make it one of the best solutions for Android. There is a Free and Premium version.

    Seismic

Seismic. Though designed to be an all-in-one solution, offering Facebook account access, Seismic manages to be a top Twitter client. Lots of options are available and the clean interface is a joy to work with. It’s not that often updated but that is mainly because it works very well. Give it a try and you will most probably keep it. It’s offered in both Free and Pro versions.

    Boid for Twitter

Boid for Twitter. Still in (pre) beta Boid is the preferred app for many users. It doesn’t offer a great deal of options and is not as popular as the ones we have presented so far. Instead, the app developed by a bunch 17 year old kids offers all the basic functions and some more. The real attraction is the absolutely superb UI. Too bad the development pace is slow. You can try it for Free.

    Tweak Deck

TweakDeck. This app was developed to offer more then the official Tweet Deck and has received support from Twitter. Also an all-in-one solution, providing access to Facebook, Tweak Deck offers many options, attractive interface and good functionality. Updates are rate but otherwise it works pretty well. Although it can not be considered special TweakDeck is still a top option for your social needs. It’s offered for Free and there is also a Donate version.
