  • Last week there was a big buzz online about Google Play Store gift cards coming to the UK and now this week they’re already available. So, if you want to make a quick gift to a friend, you may as well give him or her such a gift card. The only problem is that you can’t buy Google gift cards in the UK currently, at least not online.

The side will  default to Enlighs US and ask for a Zip code if you try to do that. Gift cards have been available in the US for a while now, but they have yet to be made available overseas. This is similar to that iTunes service is offering and it comes in handy when you’re too lazy or busy to buy someone a gift. Seeing how games like Final Fantasy even cost as much as $20 or so, this is actually a nice gift or an Android device owner.

A gift card can be used to redeem millions of books, songs, movies, apps and more from the Play Store. There’s no credit card needed and you can do the redeeming on the web or Android devices. The cards are available in $10, $25 and $50 denominations and you should know that they never expire. Target and Walmart are listed as retailer partners for now. Excited about these?
