  • We’ve never had a God of War title for Android, but there are a few games that can make us feel that we’re playing the Kratos adventures. One of them is the brand new title Thor the Dark World. This game takes up 1.6 GB of storage and it’s available for free from Gameloft.

This is a freemium title, meaning you’ll have to pay for an item or two in order to proceed at some point in the game. I tested the game on a Nexus 5 and it looked stunning. In the realm of fire where the first dozen missions or so take place you’ll sometimes feels like you’re playing a Diablo game or something like it.

The title was inspired by the movie and it sticks to the plot. The gameplay is fairly simple: you control Thor and tap the screen to move the character to a certain direction or tap the display with two fingers to throw the hammer. You have a special power button and some virtual buttons used to summon soldiers and trigger special ally powers.

There’s a huge skill tree to take advantage here and a lot of upgrades and powers. Each mission has 3 objectives to complete, usually having to do with keeping your HP up, destroying the enemy base or sticking to a time limit. You can level up everything, from your hammer to your allies and from your powers to your armor. You can play 90 missions in a variety of universes and the game is very fun to play, except for the part you have to wait hours for allies to heal .

That’s why I’ll give it a 9 out of 10 and you can download it from here.
