  • As you’re probably used to, the great comic book-based movies often have gaming tie-ins. Now The Amazing Spider-Man gets an official game of its own, courtesy of Gameloft. The title bears the same name as the new Spidey movie and goes for $6.99, although I’d expect some Independence Day price reductions, if I were you.

The title ie massive and should weigh around 600 MB of extra download, aside from the initial one. The game lets you control Spider-Man, as he battles the Lizard and his minions, all over the 25 immersive missions and spider web-packed action. You will control Spidey as he runs, jumps, web slings from a building to another and moves over 5 districts in New York. The graphics look great and the first reviews are very positive. The game requires Android 2.2+ and offers fully 3D graphics, the ability to explore the likes of Central Park, Business Downtown, Pier and Residential.

The fighting system offers you melee, ranged and combo attacks, among others, plus a ton of upgrades, that customize the style, attacks and skills of your character. The Manhattan experience is an open world one, filled with random missions and collectibles. Shaders and video effects make this title a must have for Spider-man fans. You can download it from here.
