Temple Run Oz Review: Better Than the Movie (Video)
A review of Temple Run Oz that sums up the experience is “better than the movie”. I made the mistake of watching this movie last week and it was a total failure. James Franco can’t act, but leaving that aside, we’ve also got a game tied in with the latest Oz Disney movie and it’s a Temple Run game.
This is not the first pairing of Temple Run and Disney, since they previously did Temple Run Brave. Temple Run Oz goes for 99 cents and we tested it on the Sony Xperia Z. You’ll be chased by evil flying monkeys, as you run through the kingdom of the 3 witches and reach the Dark Forest. There’s a special HD content download for all of you owners of higher end devices and the gameplay is the same as it was in the other Temple Run titles. You swipe to corner, slide, jump and do other tricks, while trying to stay away from monkeys, carnivore flowers and various traps.
There’s also a minigame that involves riding in the trademark balloon and trying to avoid green crystals, just like in the movie. This endless running title takes up 28 MB of storage and requires Android 2.1 and up to run. We give it an 8.5 out of 10, since it’s a bit repetitive and pretty much the same with the other Temple Run games. You can download it from here.
