  • Since we’ve been playing with the ZTE Grand X In Intel-based handset, we also had the opportunity of reviewing a game or two on this device. One of the games is the free title Team Awesome, that takes up 33 MB of storage and offers you 4 superheroes to play with.

The basic idea is to have your character run through a side scrolling view of a level, fly if need by, collect coins and perform some tasks. Objectives include saving cats and handing them back to grannies, collecting coffee and delivering it to commuters or catching bank robbers. With the coins you collect you can unlock new levels, powers and upgrades. Team Awesome offers 120 missions to play, over 40 episodes and with 4 bosses/super villains included.

6 powerups with upgrades are included and the cool thing is that the game has destructible environments. You have to stay away from red crystals, that drop your life/alloted time per level. Blue crystals will recover the blue circle at the top left of the screen. The game is free and supported by ads and you can also pay 99 cents for the ad free version. We give the game a 9 out of 10, since it’s fun but slightly boring. You can download it from here.
