Swype Keyboard Gets Updated, For Now In Beta Phase (Video)

  • Nuance Communications just announced a big update for its famous keyboard Swype, that now gets a new version, available in beta phase for now. The latest version allows people to sync their personal dictionary across multiple devices. There are also 3 different tablet keyboards included, as well as updated dictionaries and such.

    Swype, for those who don’t know is a 4 in one keyboard, that allows people to input, either via swype, typing, writing or speaking. You should also know that this keyboard will learn your typing style and habits and build a personal pattern, adapted to your habits. There are also new features in this release, that include dictionary backup and sync, syncing a user’s personal dictionary on multiple phones or tablets. Swype for tablets has evolved, offering a choice of 3 keyboard layouts.

    Hotwords is another innovation, updating dictionaries with the latest global trending words or phrases, even stuff like “Gangnam style”.
