  • Looking to play a cool space-based game? Then gather your battlecruisers and give the Strikefleet Omega title a spin. This game is a space battle game, that we recently tested and found to be very pleasing. The game is available for free and the action takes place in real time.

The idea is to warp from one star system to the other, searching for the Hive Queen, the alien race the obliterated the Earth. You’re an admiral of the Omega and have to use your fleet to fight aliens. You get one big ship in the beginning and unlock several other bigger ships as you progress. From the big ship you can direct your smaller attack drones and there are also ships that collect resources from asteroids nearby, which you need to protect against enemy attacks.

The story is delivered through comic book like cutscenes and you get to play at first with a single Starfighter carier. Then you unlock more ships, upgrades, weapons and units. The more ships you have, the easier the battle becomes. In order to move your small units you simply trace their trajectory with your finger on the screen. Mining ships are sent to asteroids, while interceptors can be used to take out enemy bombers, that are hard to beat. All of that and more in the game you can download from here. We give a 9 out of 10.
