  • Famous application SopCast just got updated to version 0.9.0 on Android, that fixes a couple of bugs and brings some nifty features. The most important bug fix is the one of the “no sound bug” on Android 4.1/4.2 Jelly Bean, that’s finally cleared.

Now there’s an added option that Starts SopCast when the system starts up, plus there’s a record feature, video lag bug is fixed and there’s also an enhanced local media feature. Other minor bugs have been fixed, too and general performance has been enhanced. I must mention one important aspect here: the sound will only work if you uninstall the old application and reinstall the new one.

For those who are not familiar with this piece of software, know that SopCast Android version is a general player, that works on Android 2.2+ devices, such as smartphones, tablets, set top boxes and more. It supports playing SopCast P2P live channels and it can play most types of files, audio and video. SopCast tries to reduce CPU usage and only buffers data in memory, so it doesn’t harm storage. You can get the new version from here.
