  • Although we’re not in the middle of a shopping season of holiday spree, Sony is generous enough to offer 6 weeks of free games to Sony and HTC Android users. Last fall, Sony launched the PlayStation Mobile with the PlayStation Store filled with games. For you to gain access to said games, you had to use a PlayStation certified device, that included a bunch of HTC phones and some ASUS tablets if I’m not mistaking.

Now Sony is offering one free game every seven days, starting the promotion with a rhythm game called Samurai Beatdown. We have no idea what the next titles will be, but hopefully we’ll get the likes of Crash Bandicoot and other classics. The offer is restricted to some countries on the globe, such as Japan, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Australia, since they are the only nations with PlayStation Store access right now.

The gaming is available on Sharp Androids with PlayStation certification, but such handsets are not that easy to come across. Hopefully in the future Sony will offer the service to more Android maker brands. Our fingers are crossed for seeing a Tekken title on the list, even an older one.
