  • Sky Sports TV has been available on the iPhone for a while, but since we’re entering a new football season, we bring you good news: you’ll see the matches and sports shows on your Android devices, too. The Sky Sports TV app has arrived on Android and we have to mention an important aspect: the application does not support rooted Android devices.

For now the software was tested on the Galaxy Note and it appears not to work on the Galaxy S III, that’s not on the list for now. Sky Sports TV is supported on smartphones running Android 2.2, 2.3 and 4.0, like HTC Desire, Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Incredible, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Samsung Galaxy S and S II are on the supported list too. Jelly Bean users should know that the software won’t work on their devices.

The cool thing about Spy Sports TV is that you don’t need to be a Sky Sports TV subscriber. You just pay 5 quid a month and get all the Formula 1, PGA Golf, US Open Tennis, soccer matches that you can watch with two human eyes. The channels available are ESPN, Sky Sports 1 to 4, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports News, Sky News and At the Races. You can download the app from here.
