  • Ski Safari 2 reached Android a few weeks after hitting iOS and it has been made available on September 30 on that platform. It’s priced at 2 euros on iOS, but luckily it’s free on Android and we played it on the ASUS ZenPad 7.0 tablet.

The game lets you control a cute character that slides downhill on a pair of skis or snowboard, doing tricks and taking along for the ride a series of critters, like penguins, Yetis and more. You can ride around in a bath tub, break the ice, enter cabins and do tricks, by swiping the screen up, down, to the left or right. These tricks are basically the same one would perform on a skateboard.

You will tap to jump, keep the screen pressed to rotate in the air and ride the little guys like vehicles. A Yeti can lay flat on the back and be used like a sleigh and one can even grab hold to a vulture. Sadly, Ski Safari 2 is much too easy to play and I even watched TV while playing it and browsed the web on the PC and still didn’t get caught up by the avalanche that chased me.

You will collect coins that will unlock new areas of play like a Jurassic section or the desert. Gamers can choose between Evana and Sven as the characters and spend coins for powerups like coin magnets, or new clothes and vehicles. Rockets and jetskis are two of the vehicles available here. Graphics are colourful and animations are more complex than in previous Ski Safari titles.

The core of the gameplay remains the same, though and now there’s also multiplayer over the same WiFi network. In order to level up one must collect stars, that are achieved by completing objectives. I’d say that Ski Safari 2 is a very fun title to play, with cool animations and some nifty tricks to perform, but it’s way too easy. We give it a 9 out of 10 and you can download it here.
