    I usually don’t rely on power saving apps but I must admit, Battery Saver DX – Power Widget has a certain appeal. The app has all kinds of energy saving features. It also offers detailed information about running processes for apps as well as hardware related energy info. You can customize your own profile or select out of the three available. The app also acts as a task manager, closing unused background tasks.

    Through the app interface you can read tips about energy saving for hardware and apps. The UI is great and easy to understand. Different tabs are placed at the bottom of the screen and the black/green thematic is very good. The app offeres a widget for closing background processes and through one of the tabs you can activate different software services, like Bluetooth or mobile data. You can also display the battery Level in % in Status Bar. Here are some of the features of the Pro version:

    • Optimizing your battery use in 3 preset Modes;
    • Intelligent mode-switching;
    • Regularly closing power-draining tasks;
    • Slow down CPU during screen lock; (ROOT devices only)
    • Healthy charging (e.g. hints for charging or de-plugging the charger).
