Resident Evil 4 Available on Google Play, Only in Japan
Resident Evil 4 recently reached Google Play, in its mobile version obviously and only for the lucky owners of Android devices in Japan. Capcom has been on a roll recently, launching quite a bunch of titles on this platform. This same game was also available exclusively on LG devices in South Korea last year.
The title comes with two game modes: Story More and Mercenary Mode. The first one follows the storyline of the first title, that was seen by many as one of the best game in the series and an innovator as far as camera orientation is concerned. It kind of invented that over the shoulder camera view that became popular afterwards. Mercenary Mode is something that reminds me of RE 3, that also had something like this. It’s a race against time, that involves killing as many enemies as possible in a certain time frame.
RE 4 Mobile offers the ability to aim down the sight of the gun for efficient sniping and there are also various powerups available from other survivors. The graphics aren’t that bad and controls seem intuitive. The title costs $2.78 for people in Japan and it’s a very reasonable price. You can get it from here.
