  • Real Racing 3 has been detailed and teased ever since August 2012, so we know what to expect here. Today we get an extra bit of information from Firemonkey, thanks to a Developer diary. This is a racing simulator, not your typical arcade tilting device affair.

It appears that the new game will feature new tracks, including some real places around the world, on which virtual tracks are based on. It appears that the game will launch in February and with Asphalt 8 also detailed recently, it will be a very interesting year for handset racing enthusiasts. In the video shown below we catch a glimpse of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Mount Panorama in Australia and even a Melbourne track.

The developers actually get involved in the full process of making the game, taking photos of landmarks and gathering general information about surroundings. They analyze elevation data and the layout of roads and buildings. The process behind making a track is actually pretty interesting, so we can’t wait to see the finished product.
