  • Re-Volt 2: Best RC 3D Racing is the full name of this game, a racing title with 3D graphics that follows up on the first Revolt, that I reviewed a few months back. The newcomer greatly improves on the graphics, controls and content and best of all: it’s free.

The title was tested on an Allview Viva i8 tablet, a dual core Intel 2 GHz CPU device. Back to the game, Re-volt 2 features remote controlled cars, nice cartoonish graphics and loads of cars. They’re divided into a variety of categories, including formula cars, sports cars, monster trucks and more, all of them available with upgrades.

The controls are better than in Revolt 1 and we’ve got a nifty Grand Prix mode, with a racing league including 50 players, participating in online races. There are 5 new tracks available every week in this mode and powerups that can be activated before the race. There’s also a wheel of fortune system, that awards you with powerups, cars, coins and gems, depending on the slot you land on.

The upgrades performed here improve the speed, acceleration, power and handling of the cars and I have to admit that the tracks are well designed in Re-volt 2. I’ll give this game an 8 out of 10, since the races are rather repetitive and usually the AI takes you down in the last second of the race. You can download it from here.
