  • Remember Rayman Origins, the latest iteration of the famous limbless character adventures on consoles? Well, now the Ubisoft title gets a spinoff for Android, one that we tested and played on the Samsung Galaxy Note II. I would be lying if I’d say I didn’t have fun with it, since it was really enjoyable and fun to play.

The game goes for $2.99 on the Google Play Store and it’s well worth it, especially if you’ve been playing Rayman from the days of the PSX console. This is a one touch running type of game, where you only tap the screen to make Rayman jump, or keep the tap pressed to pull a helicopter move and float around using Rayman’s hair as a helicopter pallet. The cheerful character gathers shiny little winged creatures and if you gather them all you complete a level and you unlock a special dark level.

In the more advanced levels you will run on walls and even use Ray’s fists to take down obstacles. Your natural enemies are spiked tentacles, hedgehogs, crazy explorers or crazy shooting plants. The environments are varied and the graphics are beautiful and colored. Levels are divided between green jungles and hellish caves, while the audio aspect is a tad repetitive, with the same 3 songs in the background. We give the game an 8.5 out of 10 and you can download it from here.
