  • Media consumption has become a priority for any device manufacturer and software maker, with some of the best solutions for the desktops making their way onto the mobile platforms. Plex is counted among the most versatile options for media organising and streaming from anywhere.

Designed by Plex, Inc. and available for both Android and iOS, the app with the same naming poses as one of the more advanced solutions available for media management. The app’s main strong-point refers to a wide variety of sources, over 200 channels like CNET, YouTube, Vimeo, Revision3, and also additional content from Aperture, iPhoto, and iTunes.

Plex for Android has recently reached a new version, including an impressive number of changes. The most immediate changes worth noting are to the interface that has been greatly improved in both looks and feel. Version 3.0 also brings PlexSync support and large libraries optimised management.  A remote control widget is also included, along with other optimisations and fixes up to the latest release. It is now available on the Store.
