  • Remember playing with the PlayMobil pirates when you were little? Now you can do that virtually, thanks to the new Gameloft title Playmobil Pirates, that you can download on iOS for starter and there will be a later release for Android. The game is free to play, but it comes with in app purchases, some of them as high as 60 quid apiece.

The app has been launched worldwide in 10 different languages, with the launch being a collaboration between Playmobil, the largest toy manufacturer in Germany and Gameloft. The graphics stay true to the Playmobil figurines and the whole pirate experience is here, with all the “ahoy matey” and “buckaneer action” you can imagine. Swashbuckling characters, quests, mini games are all here. You get to play with the popular figures, ships and buildings from the latest Playmobil lineup.

You get to sail a pirate ship, enjoy cute and fun 3D animations and build your very own pirate camp. You will get to fight the legendary Blackbeard and complete dozens of missions throughout the 100 levels available. I can’t wait for this to come to Android.
