  • Plants vs Zombies 2 is undeniably a hit on iOS and it’s a pity that other platforms are deprived of it. Android users have been vocal about that, but starting today users in China will be able to play the game on their devices.

That’s right, Plants vs Zombies 2 is now available on Android, but only in the Chinese Baidu store. You should probably know what to expect here: dozens of levels, 3 universes, that include Ancient Egypt, a Pirate segment and a Western segment with moving cart mines. Popcap’s blog recently detailed location-specific releases and they even claimed their servers were slammed by people trying to play the game.

A Google Play release should come soon, although I suspect that illegal downloading will also be available, since probably someone already ripped the game from Baidu and put it on download sites by now. I suspect it will only be a couple of days before we can download the game onto our Android devices. Here’s the download link for now if you’re in China.
