  • There are many photo manipulation applications on Android, including a very nice version of Photoshop, but we were blown away by how good the Pixlr Express software actually is. First of all, it’s free and second, it has a ton of tweaks and options.

The app was reviewed on the Allview P6 Stony handset, that packs a bright 720p display. Pixlr Express takes up just 5.6 MB of space and it comes with a variety of filters, effects and options. The app requires Android 2.2 or newer versions and among its features we find the ability to crop pictures, resize them, remove the red eye effect and a bunch of frames to apply.

There’s also an Autofix option, for quick autocorrect of a picture’s problems, plus the ability to whiten the teeth of the photographed subjects and amplify various hues and photo elements. You can blur a certain area, clear the noise and play with hundreds of effects, that will turn your shot into a Andy Warhol exhibition, if you want. There’s also the option of adding a grunge look to a shot, changing the intensity of the colors and many, many others. The app gets a 10 out of 10 and you can get it from here.
