  • Pinterest just announced on its blog the launch of new apps for Android, iPad and iPhone, that are up for download right now. These apps allow the user to pin, discover and access his own account from wherever, while on the go. If you’re an Android user, you’ll be happy with this app, because Pinterest is saying that it’s been very much demanded by users.

The app has been adapted both to the phone and tablet experience, regardless of the device’s hardware, speed or screen size. You can login or register on Pinterest using Facebook, Twitter or simply an email address. Kindle Fire users will be able to download Pinterest from the Amazon Appstore for Android later in the week. The Pinterest for Android app requires Android 2.2 and up, it’s totally free and takes up 4.6MB of storage.

There are millions of pinners using the app to find recipes, plan destinations for vacations, collect favourite music videos and discover design ideas. These are just examples of things to do with the service, since it’s much more complex than that. You can save and compare the items you’re shopping for and pin what you like from all over the web. One can also comment on his favourite pins and pin with the camera. The interface of the app looks pretty Flipboard-ish to me, but you’ll see that for yourself once you download the app from here.
