  • If you’re the kind of guy or girls who records his/her thoughts on a dictaphone, then you may want to know that there’s an Android app for that now. It’s called Philips Dictation Recorder and it’s just been made available on the Play Store. It was made by Philips and it’s free, also taking up just 4.1 MB of storage on your device.

You can capture your ideas on the move with this application, that allows one to record, edit and send dictation files to other co workers. The Philips dictation recorder for Android comes with editing functions like insert, overwrite and append, making this a professional recording experience. There’s also a priority setting for getting the most urgent stuff done first. There’s a clear user interface that guides you through the dictation and download process.

Encryption is also supported for extra security of your files. The aim of the app is to reduce document turnaround times and have your voice recordings sent through email or FTP to a central server, where other users can access and finalize the document. Audio file filtering and the ability to attach photos to voice recording are also supported. The app is up for download here.
