  • Everyone’s getting into the gaming thing nowadays, with some major companies preparing Android consoles, while several other bigshots are readying subscription services with gaming purposes. Verizon Wireless announced yesterday that it will launch an Android game subscription service called GameTanium.

For $5.99 paid per device each month you can access over 100 of the best Android smartphone games and over 50 Android tablet games. This is a Verizon customer only service, that comes with an easy to use interface, high quality games and enhanced editorial features, including parental ratings, rich game images and reviews. We’re also promised fast downloads and no ads, for a hassle-free gameplay. The problem here may be the fact that Verizon takes quite some time to update their apps, so you may end up playing older versions of the games.

Let’s hope they’ll do a better job this time with GameTanium. Over 30 Android smartphones and two Android tablets are supported for GameTanium right now. These include Motorola Droid RAZR, Motorola Droid Xyboard 8.2 and the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE. Keep in mind that GameTanium is NOT in Google Play Store, but you can find it in Verizon Apps on your smartphone.
