  • One of the latest entries in the Android backup category is made by a team of developers that has been struggling to provide the fastest and more compatible option for backing up all the data on your device. Like all options of the sort, the solution requires that your device is rooted.

Orange Backup by 2BOrange is one of the few options to create a complete Nandroid Backup of your device, without having to use a custom recovery image such as ClockworkMod. The app provides a very clean interface that is easy to get around and provides access to all its features at your fingertips. Orange Backup has been designed with as many devices as possible in mind. That being said, there are still a bunch of least popular devices that are currently not supported for a complete backup, even if rooted. Given the circumstances, you can provide a log straight from the app for developers to try and support your model. The log can be also sent even when a backup is taking place.

The list of all supported models is shown when first starting the app and having to choose your device. After that you are greeted by the usual menu seen with the new versions of the interface on Android, where sliding to the left will reveal all the options. Once the app takes care of the backup it can automatically upload it to one of your online storage accounts, including Google Drive and Dropbox. As for the restoration, it will require that you have a custom recovery installed. On top of that, Orange Backup also provides some useful features, like scheduling backups, a task killer and even an app uninstaller. The settings menu is filled with the most useful options, so you won’t miss anything there either.

Given that your Android device is rooted and compatible, you can download Orange Backup for free from the Play Store.
