  • If you’re a fan of the Ong Bak movies, know that there’s a game coming. We’ve written about it before, but now we get new screenshots and a video showing some gameplay sequences. The cool background music is very heroic and if I were to compare the game with anything it would be Ninja Gaiden meets Samurai versus Zombies, although the comparison may feel a bit forced.

We also spotted a few huge bosses that would make God of War jealous and frankly I have to say that this game looks great, at least in the console version, since that one seems to be used in the trailer below. I’m saying that because at some point an Xbox 360 controller button pops up o the screen. This game is a side scrolling action platformer that will provide hardcore action, tough fights and all of that with brilliant graphics.

Ong Bak Tri is developed by Studios Hive and it’s based on the upcoming Ong Bak Tri movie, that will be released this year as well. The title will be coming to iOS, Android, the PC, PSN and Xbox Live. The graphics are not exactly 3D, fitting in the 2.5D area and also including free running sequences and cinematic events, as shown in the trailer. Sadly we have no idea when exactly the game will come, although I have a feeling it will be a contender for the game of the year title.
