  • There’s an official Ong Bak title in the making for mobile and it could arrive on Android sooner than you expect, or so says the Facebook page of the title. The game looks incredibly hot and it’s being developed by Studio Hive, who are making a stunning job with it. Ong Bak Tri is based on the famous series of movies with Tony Jaa and a hefty load of martial arts.

The game will not only be made for smartphones, but also for the PC and consoles. Ong Bak Tri will employ the Unity 3D engine, so we expect kickass graphics from it. Free running sequences are promised and cinematic quick time action events with fast paced combat. The gameplay of the new and original title involves a 2.5D scroller type of action. It appears that this initiative has been developed using the expertise of the folks who actually worked on the Ong Bak movies, including the movie director and the choreographer of all those cool moves.

The good news is that Tri is in the final stages of development and it should hit phones and consoles this winter. Are there any Ong Bak fans among you? How would you like to have a truly nice martial arts game on your Android phone or tablet?
