  • Among all those many photo editing apps for Android few are categorized as serious photo editing tool. Aviari Photo Editor is one of the best the platform has to offer. The recent update made it really great.

    Aviary Photo Editor

Aviari Photo Editor is a serious photo editing tool while retaining a great, really attractive interface. Aviary Photo Editor went from being a simple plug-in to a stand-alone application. Using the basic tools you can crop, rotate, resize an image at will. Within the same segment the tools to control brightness, saturation, contrast or sharpness can be easily accessed. More special options include the ability to draw on the photo, add text, fix the “red eye” effect or increase the white balance. One option which I’m sure that you use often is to improve image, according to criteria such as, day, night, back light, the top two or auto mode. As for effects a substantial amount are offered with the app but can download others from the Store. Some of the new features of the new update:

    • EXIF tags are now retained!
    • You can now delete photos from your device directly from the Aviary app (just press and hold to open the context menu for each photo)
    • Custom tool order is maintained when the app is launched as a plugin from another app (look in the settings to rearrange the tools in the editor)
    • Added support for small screens (notably, Galaxy Y and Galaxy Mini)

The app is offered for Free on the Store. The extra effects are offered for just $1.
