  • If you own an Android device with a panorama camera feature that doesn’t offer a wide enough view of the surrounding world, then there’s always an app to expand that. I’m talking about Photaf THD Panorama Pro, an application by Oren Bengigi, now with 50% off price, going for just $1,83.

Since it has THD in its name, this app is for Tegra-powered devices only, like HTC One X or LG Optimus 4X HD for example, or the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 tablet. The application allows you to create beautiful and seamless 360 panoramic photos by using the camera and the orientation sensor to get the ideal angle for each picture taken. The software requires Android 2.1 and up and it takes up just 6.8 MB of space. Features include automatic image stitching and 360 panorama creation, as well as the ability to upload your pics to the Photaf.com website and view them on your PC.

Facebook sharing, moving to SD and pinching to zoom are also supported. There’s also a HD mode and the ability to export to the gallery folder. The advantage of having a Tegra device here is that the tablet or phone is able to do faster stitching or even background stitching, starting while you are taking the panorama. The app is up for download here.
