  • There’s a fresh promotion for the famous Navigon app for Android, involving a price cut of around $20 for both Navigon USA and Navigon Europe. The promotion lasts from today till October 8th, so hurry up. Also, you should know that this week Navigon was updated to version 4.6.0. Navigon Europe is now $22 cheaper and goes for $47, while Navigon USA is $20 cheaper and goes for $30.

The application is a mobile navigation system with on board maps, that involve no data transfer or roaming charges for map display, route calculation and more. Google Street View and destination preview are included, as well as lane assistant and active lane assistant, but such features require Android 2.2 and higher. Bluetooth support is also here, as well as Google Local Search, Safety Cameras, Reality View Pro, Speed Assistant, Navigon Reality scanner and MyRoutes.

Text to speech is on the features list as well, plus the option of using 2D or 3D maps. If you’re wondering what version 4.6.0 brought, it embedded into the app urban guidance, at least for some North American urban areas, when it comes to public transport. There’s also a new feature called Energy Saver, that reduces the power consumption during longer distances. Another improvement is map display for devices with HD and WXGA resolution, so it adapted to modern devices. You can download Navigon Europe from here and Navigon USA from here.
