  • If you’re looking for a solid business card reader and more than that we recommend a very nice sale for ABBYY Business Card Reader, an Android app that now goes for $4.99, $10 cheaper than usual. Isn’t that a crazy reduction? This is one of the best business card apps out there, but keep on reading if you want more features.

Created by ABBYY Software House, this app requires Android 2.1 or later and takes up 27MB of your space. This 66% discounted application offers you an intuitive way of adding a new contact to your smartphone’s address book, simply by taking a picture of a business card and saving that contact afterwards. You can also get extra info about contacts on Linkedin , Facebook and Twitter or find an address from business cards on Maps. The key features of this software include high quality recognition via the ABBYY Mobile OCR Engine technology and very efficient display of results.

In case some of the symbols aren’t recognized, the app will highlight them and display the original image for comparison. ABBYY recognizes multi language business cards with up to 3 languages on a single card and supports 19 different languages, including Italian, Polish, Russian and more. During the installation of the app it may require up to 60MB of free space on the internal storage, so take care with that. You can download this great software from here.
