  • Android devices are defined, among others by that status/notification bar. On iOS notifications of missed calls or updates can be viewed on the apps’ icons as well, while on Android the notification bar is the go to place for such notifications (emails, texts, app updates, tweets and more). If the current notification bar isn’t as efficient as you want it to, there’s always an app to enhance it, the Omega Status Bar.

This tweaked Omega Status Bar has been created by developer and XDA member A Dev@Calsto. The app works on Android devices running on 2.1 to 4.1 version of the OS. Some custom ROMs allow you to play with the features of the notification bar and tweak them, but this is so much more. The app also supports custom themes from a third party and the user’s own. Other features include auto detection for hidden status bar and screen orientation, high temperature and battery sensors and an exclusion list for unwanted notifications.

There’s also a notification count for multiple notifications, a built in theme manager and many more features. You can download the software from here and know that it comes with an animated charging battery, animated statusbar background and many more features, detailed in the source link.
