NVIDIA Breaks The TegraZone 5 Million Downloads Barrier

  • If you own an NVIDIA-powered Android device then you surely have installed the TegraZone app center and are enjoying some special titles. Most of the game available as an exclusive offer for Tegra devices have been custom tuned to take advantage of the powerful chipsed and improved graphics.


    NVIDIA Tegra Zone is the place to test the performance and be amazed by you’re Tegra powered Android device. Recently Today NVIDIA announced that their TegraZone showcase app had passed 5 million installs on Google Play, making it one of the largest game discovery services for Android. As the new Tegra 3 chipset is becoming more and more popular, due to devices like the Nexus 7 or HTC One X, it is expected that the number of installs will steadily grow with the passing of time.

    Currently, close to 50 games that have specific optimizations for Tegra devices that deliver console-quality visuals are available for download on TegraZone. These include real-time dynamic lighting, particle effects, ragdoll physics and higher-quality textures then on other devices. The developer interest has also grown lately and more and more Tegra optimized titles are expected in the future.
