  • One of the very first things that users have to decide when first sorting their Android device is what keyboard should use. A smartphone or tablet is primarily a communications device and has to prove its efficiency with the help of adequate software to get the job done.

The number of third party keyboards alternatives on the Play Store has been always high, with each developer choosing to implement its own unique functions the way he/she seems fit. However, only a few of these options have managed to stand out, apart from the stock or manufacturer provided input solution.

Nuance’s Swype Keyboard is one of the most popular implementations in terms of third party input methods. The software though it has been available for a while, could only be obtained through the developers official webpage, or provided by the device manufacturer as an alternative. Now it is available on the Play Store, in both a trial version and a purchasable app for just $0.99. Given that the pricing might change, I suggest you get it asap.
